What is queen's day celebration?

Each year on 30th April, the Netherlands hold a huge Queen’s Day celebration to honour the birthday of the nations queen. Queen’s day also called Konninginnedag in the native tongue – is without question the Netherlands biggest celebration. Orange is the national colour of the Netherlands. It refers to the Dutch Royal family which is known as the house of Orange.On April 30^th expect to see orange –coloured clothing worn by the street partiers; orange-covered floats, food, drinks and hair.
