How to make the most of your attendance at AAC
Thursday, 23 April 2009 16:44

Far too many times people buy a conference ticket, their hotel room and their flighst and stop there but there is a lot more you can do to ensure you have a great conference - Below we have outlined just a few tips on how you can make sure you maximise your time at AAC and get the most value possible:

  • Bring your e-ticket with you as this will ensure you can register and pick up your pass quickly without wasting your time in queues filling out forms. If you are missing your e-ticket simply email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  for it - Exhibitors don't worry you don't have an e-ticket.
  • Join the Face Book Event group and make some meetings - We have over 171 confirmed people in the event group and 128 "maybes" so check out who is in there and try and set up some meetings now.
  • Bring plenty of paracetamol and vitamin C. iGaming events are definitely born out of the play hard - work hard stable so don't make the mistake of going to hard, remember get "some" sleep, take paracetamol, drink water, take vitamin C and make the most of the event day and night.
  • Check out the conference agenda and mark the sessions down that you want to attend. There are over 20 sessions and you can't attend them all so make a note of the must attend ones for you now so you don't miss them.
  • Make a note of the networking events and their locations - We will send out an email and post all the details in the news section on Tuesday April 28th so make sure you get this information down because the last thing you want is to be wondering around Amsterdam looking for a party in the middle of the night!
  • Bring plenty of business cards - We have almost 1,000 people already registered and I am sure we should make it over that total so bring lots of business cards - They are a great way to break the ice and of course an excuse to get others.
  • Write down what you are looking to achieve at AAC - This sounds obvious, but have a proper think about what you want to get out of the event; is it increased knowledge, a bigger network, a better deal with a program, relationships with some new programs, etc - What ever your aims are, write them down and work out how you can achieve these goals before, during and after the event.
  • Familiarise your self with who is exhibiting/sponsoring and contact them prior to the event to arrange meeting - You can see who is exhibiting/sponsoring here so use this now to make meetings with these programs as their diaries will fill up and it will be a shame to come all this way and not meet the programs that you have on your target list.
  • Relax and enjoy yourself - Ok, maybe in Amsterdam this is a little easier :-) but seriously often teh event can be over before you know it and although this is work do try and relax and enjoy the whole experience, there really isn't many times you can fly to a call city, get lunch free every day, drink for free almost 24/7, make hundreds of new friends and contacts and call it work so make sure you enjoy it.
  • Leave your pen and pad at home – We are giving away iGB Affiliate ones at registration!!!
